The effect of 12 weeks of aerobic exercise and caloric restriction on Nrf2 protein expression in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in rats

Background and aims: One of the most common causes liver disease is non-alcoholic fatty (NAFLD), its prevalence along with serious clinical problem a growing. No studies have been conducted on effect calorie restriction (CR) aerobic exercise (AE) nuclear factor erythroid-related 2 (Nrf2) in rats NAFLD. The present study aimed to assess effects 12 weeks CR AE Nrf2 protein expression Methods: A total 40 participated this study, 32 them developed NAFLD by feeding food (34% fat, 19% protein, 47% carbohydrates) for eight weeks. Rats were classified into five groups: sham, control, CR, AE, restriction-aerobic (CA). First, 60% daily diet was given CA groups. done weeks, sessions per week treadmill rats. Oil red, hematoxylin-eosin (H & E) staining, levels groups evaluated. To analyze data, one-way ANOVA used at significance level P<0.05.
